Corina
Meet Corina, a stunning 3/4-year-old brindle Pittie mix, who, despite her heartbreaking past, is FULL of love and personality. Corina weighs about 65 pounds, is house trained and crate trained - and is learning her manners on leash!
This sweet girl was rescued from a high-kill shelter in Texas where she was set to be euthanized due to being pregnant with a litter of puppies. Following her rescue, Corina tragically lost her puppies. We have done our best to fill her with love during her time with us, as she so deserves - but she truly deserves a forever home and family to call her own.
Corina is the embodiment of a happy-go-lucky spirit, making her the ideal companion for those seeking a playful, active, and affectionate furry friend. She is curious and enjoys long walks and hikes with her foster Dad. Sometimes...we wonder if she is partly Hound - her nose is ALWAYS to the ground - exploring the sights, sounds, and smells around her. She is eager to please and would benefit from an adoptive home who will continue her basic training to become the best version of herself that she can be!
Corina's perfect home would be a couple, family, or individual who is breed-savvy! Being truly goofy, strong, smart, and active, we would love to find an adoptive home who is looking for their next Pittie! Although Corina is currently fostered with other dogs, we think Corina would thrive being the only canine in the home. Having a higher prey-drive, Corina would do best in a home without feline companions!
While Corina is a friend to people of all ages, as with all of our rescues, we recommend a home with children aged 10 years and older!
If you're looking for a dog who can match your enthusiasm for life and then wind down with you in quiet moments, Corina is ready to fill your home with laughter, love, and a bit of Pittie magic
